Mining engineering and landform design

The best time to think about mine closure?

Before mining operations commence.

As mine engineers, we work with mining businesses to design mine legacy. Each of our designs is tailored to the complexities of your site to achieve your financial, environmental, cultural and objectives.

Founder & Mining Engineer

If you’re seeking a seasoned expert who:

  • Understands the complexities of mining and how waste management and rehabilitation effect operations
  • Brings deeply creative, cost effective designs to the table
  • Delivers exceptional batter and berm, linear and concave profiles
  • Specialises in natural and geomorphic landforms
  • Considers the balance of profitability, sustainability and traditional landowner demands
  • Is involved in mine studies and pre-mining feasibility and closure studies
  • Incorporates AMD and cover design into their work
  • Provides mine design and scheduling from life-of-mine strategic and tactical scheduling

… you’re in the best hands.

From first survey peg in the ground to post-closure, I’ve been immersed in every mine stage, element and challenge for over 30 years. Small exploration to the biggest names in the business, I’ve worked on it all. Underground operations to surface operations and across all minerals except coal (that’s a chat for another time). From mentoring others to managing engineers and leading mines to maximise their investment, I have an unmatched blend of strategy, sense and insight.

Bringing innovation to extraction

Landform Logic is the culmination of my all my mining expertise combined with my team’s key skills.

Solution focused and sustainability minded, we create conventional and geomorphic designs that fit on country and appeal to traditional landowners. Both profiles balance profitability with sustainability. Natural landforms are preferred by traditional landowners and have gained a foothold in NSW. Also common in the EU, natural landforms are just as cost effective as conventional designs.

LANDFORMS DESIGNED

Why landform engineering?

Mining inevitably effects land and people. Landform design is where we can minimise that impact, respect country and sustainably leave a positive legacy for future generations.

Landform design – it’s a smarter way to mine.
